Starting Off New

When we moved into the apartment we still had a few months before Emryk arrived, so we placed my computer in the second bedroom. Well, once Emryk was here the time to use my computer virtually disappeared - that is, unless he was sleeping. The problem was, if Emryk was sleeping I couldn't use my computer because it was in his bedroom, so I was forced to use the laptop computer. So for the past six months the laptop has been sitting on our coffee table when we want to use the internet quick.

Having the laptop sit out all the time just doesn't seem like a good idea to me, especially since we had a few cords to trip over while we were carrying Emryk. So, as we were taking the Christmas tree down I decided to try to squeeze my computer into the living room and move some bookshelves into Emryk's room. That wasn't so bad, but once investigating my computer I discovered my computer was in major need of some help. The most obvious problem was the virus which was ruling my system. My simple fix for that was to format the hard drive and reinstall windows. I started off downloading Windows 7 Beta - the new operating system from Microsoft, it is basically a testing version. I used it for a day, but my internet wasn't working so I have gone back to Windows XP. I liked Windows 7 though, it looks much better than Vista...

..so for the past two weeks I have been getting my computer back up to speed and running like it is brand new. There are still a few things I need to install to have it working at full force, but for now I am feeling pretty good to have my computer accessable at all times and browse the internet with bookmarks instead of typing in every web address I want to go to!

So I am starting off the new year with a relatively new computer and new location to use it!

Until again
